Clutch Cast

From "Spectroscopy", the study of the interaction between matter and radiated energy. Quantic Spectroscopy is the study of the fundamentals of what matter and energy produce in Techno music. For Quantic Spectroscopy, Techno is analyzed as a spectrum of sounds and different types of matter that together combined do the sounds of their mind. Dark ambiences mixed with small rays of colorful sound in other dimensions, creating textures and new physical relations in sound.

Scientific, absolute, analytic and above all different in a kind. The dynamic duo is based in a long relationship of two guys (WireTap and Stig) from Oporto, Portugal who want to create and make a difference in the Electronic Music scene with their own specific vision of Techno. They have a lot of influences from well known artists filtering what they most like and giving it a new shape in another dimension just bringing the fundamentals of Techno music.

Next up on Clutch Cast we are proud to present to you Cheshire based DJ & producer Ross Alexander!

Ross Alexander is an exciting producer, dj and live act whose early influences in electronic music were from the various pirate and radio shows as dance music exploded in the uk in the late 80's and early 90's

His passion for techno music was ignited in the 90's by legendary UK nights such as The Orbit, Voodoo and Bugged Out, where each week there was a great range of international talent to be enjoyed and scrutinised.

Fast forward to 2010 and his production work, which has been painstakingly crafted over a few years is quickly recognised, signed and supported by some of the key players in the industry; his reputation for quality techno is gradually spreading worldwide.

Ross's work shows a wide range of influences from hard hitting workouts, to more ambient tracks, and experimental work having released for a number of labels including Naked Lunch, Elektrax, Gobsmacked and many others and is an in demand remixer.

Upcoming solo releases this year and a plethora of remixes should see him in good stead as one to watch for the coming years.

Next up we have Scottish based DJ & Producer Grant Burns aka Nino Blink!
Nino has recently played alongside and supported many greatly talented artists such as Gary Beck, Reset Robot, Yousef, Alex Smoke, James Harcourt, BCR Boys, David Forbes, Mark Storie of Toolroom Records and Fergie to name a few.

Nino runs his own night at the legendary Club 69 in Paisley and is co-owner of Creepy Finger Records and provides us with a funky tech house & techno infused mix!

Watch out for Nino's groovy tech out remix on Clutch Trax 4th Release!

John Mitchell is a UK based Techno DJ and Producer, originally from Dublin in Ireland. From his early days growing up in Dublin he was always attracted to the darker more underground side of music. This sound is reflected in this excellent mix he has provided for Clutch Cast.

John has releases with Synewave, Propellant Music, Shout Records, Plastiq, and BCR, and is on remix duties for Clutch Trax on an excellent EP we have lined up for later in the year!

A no holds barred Techno Mix from Start to finish!

Look out for Stevie's remix on Clutch Trax which will be included on CLU004, due out in April.

Highland Hero Garry Howden takes up the reigns for the seventh installment of the Clutch Cast. With some great releases lined up for 2012 his dark and at points breaky mix will get you moving!

Episode 006 come from Glasgow based DJ & Producer Dersonna.

Dersonna has current and forthcoming releases on labels such as Whartone, Globox, Code2, Proto Records, Capsula, Aurora, & BlackSwan Records, aswell as an artist album on 3rd Abstract records.

He provides us with a solid mix building from tech house to full on techno and will feature on Clutch Trax 002 providing a remix which is due out on 22nd Feb 2012!

Next up on Clutch Cast is Dublin based DJ & producer Graham Walsh.

Graham has releases signed to labels such as
Corrupt Systems, Lo-Tech Rec, Assimilation Recordings, Redbox Records to name but a few!

Watch out for his remix on Clutch Trax 002 due out in February!

Next up we have Glasgow duo WoRX who provide us with a deep & dark techno mix!

Episode 003 of the Clutch Cast series comes from the third and final member of the Clutch Trax team and one half of Clutch Slip. Expect tracks from Underworld, Plankton, Q'le, Sasha Carassi, Shed and a bit of Clutch Slip among others in a mix which starts off groovy and then rapidly moves up through the gears!
